Clanskeep Music

Pop (Bill) in the livingroom at Clanskeep   playing the mountain banjo he made when I was little...Verna

A set of his Alaskan Highland Bagpipes Bill made a few years ago.

We have alot of musicians on both sides of our family. Banjo pickers, guitarists, mandolin players, pipers, and fiddlers too. Roses' Dad was a renowned fiddler in Wyoming ,but all his trophies never could outshine the music he made on that fiddle,(some of which I may share on this website someday..since Grandad Allen put some of his music on tape for me when I was little and learning to play the fiddle.A fiddler can't do any better than to learn at a Grandads' knee..) Like alot of folks ,we have to try all instruments.  Bill has spent alot of time making musical instruments. Banjos, wood flutes, Highland Bagpipes and Uilleann pipes to name a few.   We hope you enjoy the instruments and music we post on this website...Verna

Ye shall have a song, as in the night,      when a holy solemnity is kept; and gladness of heart,   as when one goeth with a pipe to come into the mountain of the Lord,            to the mighty One of Israel. Isaiah 30

Testing my first handcrafted low D whistle.

This is the second Low D whistle that I've made.  I made it out of an old mop handle.  Shined it up with some of Mama Roses' lemon Pledge (that I found in her kitchen).
